YURI BASHMET INTERNATIONAL MUSIC FESTIVAL IN THE SOUTH URALS

The festival in the South Urals is among Yuri Bashmet’s most recent ones. The festival concerts enjoy a wide response from the audience, cultural influencers, and media. The festival is centered in Chelyabinsk, with concerts also taking place in Magnitogorsk, Miass, Zlatoust, and other cities in the Chelyabinsk Region.

The festival concerts feature Maestro Yuri Bashmet, actor Igor Kostolevsky, musicians Ksenia Bashmet (piano) and Mikhail Beznosov (clarinet), opera singers Elizaveta Narsia (soprano) and David Posulikhin (tenor), conductor Alexey Rubin, soloists of the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Russia, the chamber ensemble “Soloists of Moscow,” the State Symphony Orchestra of the Chelyabinsk Region, and others.

In addition to the concert program, the festival offers numerous educational events, including evenings with Yuri Bashmet and the Children’s Symphony Orchestra of the Chelyabinsk Region, master classes by concertmasters of the “Moscow Soloists” chamber ensemble, and classes for young musicians within the framework of the Yuri Bashmet Educational Centre in the Chelyabinsk Region.

The festival is traditionally supported by the Government and Ministry of Culture of the Chelyabinsk Region, the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, and the Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives.
