«THE SHIP OF LOVERS»

The Ship of Lovers is a different take on the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice and the reflection on love and death. The protagonist sets off on a risky journey on a ghostly ship in search of her lover. The ship never returns with those it takes on board, yet she despises danger and risks her life, ready to cross the cold ocean. On her journey, she is aided by the ghosts of lovers, great music that inspires courage, and great dramatic art that has glorified love many times over in human history. The play is a reminder of the transience of life and the power of love to give people strength even beyond the threshold of death.

“The task of a composer is sometimes not only to write music but also to build the score from fragments that have already been chosen. The score must sound good and be seamless; it must be done professionally. In this case, there is not much of my authorship, not much of my music. But a lot of work was done on choosing the fragments and polishing them.”
