Yesterday, one of the central events of the VII Winter International Art Festival in Moscow, a concert on the birthday of Maestro Yuri Bashmet, took place on the stage of the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall.

The maestro appeared on stage with the All-Russian Youth Symphony Orchestra and famous soloists – Ildar Abdrazakov (bass), Maria Barakova (mezzo-soprano) and Ksenia Bashmet (piano). The evening traditionally became the center of the concert program of the Festival of arts.

“It’s a holiday, it’s a long-standing tradition. Just like the New Year, if I don’t end up on stage, it means that the New Year didn’t happen or the birthday didn’t happen,” the maestro shared.
